OVERVIEW
It has been a challenging and incredible twelvemonth and everyone in SASPF deserves hearty congratulations for the hard work and accomplishments during FY11. In terms of economic developments, after growing a broad-shouldered 9.3% during calendar year 2010, activity in South Asia moderated in the first quarter of 2011â€"pointing to a projected slowdown in aggregate regional gain to a still glad 7.5% in 2011. This slowdown partly reflects macroeconomic policy fasten aimed at curbing stubbornly high price pressures and reduce large fiscal deficits.
