In todays society married with children is almost everyones dream. However, when the marriage executes to the point of where the both people be unhappy, what happens? Divorce is usually the answer for unhappily married couples but what almost the children? Remarriage is one possibility for either parent but airlift of children now become more complex. The child now has to become part of multiple families which includes pure toneparent, stepsiblings and grandparents. Also what role will the stepparent generate to the child over the years? The relationship of the stepparent and child are critical for the new family to become successful.
Multiple Families
Whether it is the stepparent or step kin, the remarried family is traffic with multiple families. Does the child call the stepparent stepdad, dad or Bob? Of course this is should be left up to the child to make the choice, but this is just one example dealing with multiple families. Dealing with other nonfamily members also proves to be awkward for the child.



The child does not believe there is a loving, feel for rapport with grandparents, cousins with the stepparents side of the family. The child feels like an noncitizen to the stepparents family. One question that maybe asked by the child is she truly my grandmother? Once again, this choice should be make up to the child to feel welcomed and part of the family. Also further the stepparents family make the stepchild feel loved and part of the family is the list to success.
