1.The United States was very reluctant to intervene in twain World Wars. With the global nature of World War 2, the U.S. became enkindle in global politics.

later on WWII, the Soviet leadership refused to assert free elections despite promising to. In Asia, China condemnable to the Communists in 1949, and the Korean War raged on for 3 years.   After major losses by French forces in Vietnam, U.S. became mired in trying to ensure the success of the non-communist South Vietnamese government.

American presidents believed in the domino theory, that if if one country in Asia fell to the communists, the others would also become communist. Thus the United States intervened actively in Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand and Laos.

PREFACE
This article was indite by me about two years ago and was, for me, extremely cathartic. I have not had a war incubus since I wrote it, and I used to shit a severe one every couple of months or so for the retiring(a) twenty years. Perhaps it was not so much the make-up of the article I build so helpful, as the true(a) research I did prior to writing it (and I did a lot of research).
So much of the insanity I experienced during the war now makes a terrible kind of sense.



I essential to share the knowledge I have found - regarding how the U.S. initially got involved in Vietnam - with other veterans. Maybe individual else will start to understand the incredible contradictions they experienced.
