The conflicts were caused mostly by the British and the Afrikaners, which were white Dutch descendents who had settled and migrated to South Africa during the eighteenth and nineteenth century. Britain itself had 500,000 men on their side fighting in South Africa, whereas the Boers couldnt even assemble than about 88,000 men. The British were fighting over a complex territory in an intimidating country, while the Boers were fighting to defend themselves from imperialism, with modern rifles to fire back. The War had started because of the incitation by a Boer, intending against the Europeans strengthening the occupation of their British push in South Africa.
