Brief Summary
The musical theater billy goat Elliot starts (19841985) during the UK miners strike  and centers on the life of baton, and his love of bound and his hope to become a professional concert dance dancer. billy goats brother and father are both detonate of the strike. Billys mother is no longer maintenance and his grandmother lives with the family as well. Billys father enrolls him in a boxing academy, which Billy finds out he does not enjoy. He finds out that part of the gym is used by a ballet class and is drawn in by Mrs. Wilkinson and, with her help, starts to take part in ballet classes. Billys dad briefly finds out and forbids him to continue to practice ballet but Billy does anyway. When Billys brother, Tony, gets in a conflict during the miners strike against the authorities Billy misses an important audition date for the Royal Ballet School. Mrs. Wilkinson goes to Billys father to notify him of the missed opportunity, only to be reminded once more of Billys father exasperation for Billys passion. Billys father soon sees his sons talent and realizes Billys his chip in and determination, and decides to take Billy to the schools audition himself.



Billy is then accepted at a very small age.
Critical Opinions
In my opinion the musical was quite spectacular. The conformation effectively delivered all of the complex emotions that many people had during that date period. The Great Depression brought out a lot of imposition and suffering in people and the cast was an almost consummate(a) embodiment of this. Whenever the play seemed to flat line, a dance phone number would be preformed and snatch my eyes right back to the shrewdness of the play. The humor throughout the play was very refreshing to observe, to clear up the heavy topics that were constantly talked about.
