The bad tidings about business ethics: your career can be irrevocably damaged if you mishandle an ethical issue. (Trevino, 2007). The jury has rule that Samsung willfully infringed a number of Apple patents in creating a number of devices and has been ordered to pay Apple $1.05 billion in damages. Apple, which Samsung countersued for $422 million, will not consecrate to pay anything to Samsung. What could start Samsung do differently to avoid a lawsuit against Apple: make a better judgment or objectivity. It would cod been easier for Samsung to reconcile what to do if they would suck thought about it ahead of time. If Samsung could have followed certain steps to make an ethical decision the outcome of this lawsuit would be different or not have happen at both. Many ethical choices are unreserved enough for us to be able to decide what to do rather than fall into what is right or wrong. Samsung should have gathered the facts instead of assuming that Apple would not neb or imply anything. They should have defined the ethical issues, giant companies jump to a solution without really thinking finished the ethical issues and the reasons behind them.



Also they should have had identified all who were being affected. Being able to see the situation through with(predicate) opposites eyes is a key moral reasoning skill. (Kohlberg, 2007). Samsung in the end should have identified the consequences of their actions. Samsung knew of the infringing on Apples designs. Instead they should have taken the more ethical business approach by identifying the other actions and their consequences (harms and/or benefits). If Samsung would have made an ethical decision they would have maximized the benefits to their customer and minimize the damage that they caused with Apple.
