The cardinal snip periods of McCarthyism and The Crucible took place in two tot ally different eras. Many similarities are interfered with the two time periods. The era of McCarthyism inspired Arthur Miller to write the play. One of the similarities was that in any of the time periods you can just point a finger at somebody and have any monstrous excuse that might not unconstipated have anything to even do with why there being thrown in jail and thats how they would be in jail. This was just unreasonable because this method is almost just ramting revenge at deal you may dislike. The Crucible is relevant to nows society because of a government form of authoritarianship. In the play Abigail would be the dictator because she pretty much controlled who did or didnt go to jail.

In a dictator there is one ruler and that ruler makes all the rules and calls all the shots. The dictator also gets to be the ruler for as coarse as he wants till he or she lives.
