By office of this research, I would like to present the confabulation problems of Libyan learners of English in general and the problem specific to Libyan university students exercise English in university faculties of English language in Libya. and so I will discuss the notion of communicative competence, and desex its strategic competence. I will also briefly flowerpot with various definitions of communication strategies and taxonomies of communication strategies. Finally, the paper concludes with presenting the pedagogical implications of communication strategies.
Therefore, in this paper I intend to find off the primings about the problems faced by Libyan learners in speaking English and some basic errors in pronunciation. As considerably as this, I will also investigate the reason why they are unable to express themselves comfortably and expeditiously both when dealing with academic topics or common both day conversation.
