He was sure that the Palestinians would welcome a Jewish state, because of the advantages and the ways in which Jews could help them. He never talked of stealing, pickings away, or claiming for the disembark that belonged to the Jews. He always said that Palestinians and Jews should function the land for the convenience of both. He was not trying to insert a nation there, but to get to an agreement.
