Students be directed to write about what they think is going on in the picture and how this picture makes them feel. -Present culminating project to division. Students will fructify an oral presentation on an historical paper that relates to Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. The topics are: 1) The Great Depression 2) Sharecropping 3) Jim Crow Laws 4) Ku Klux Klan (Night Riders) 5) Plessy v. Fergusion ( get out but Equal) 6) Brown v. Board of Education I will provide a brief overview of each topic and excuse that students will choose one of these topics.

The presentations will include an overview of the topic and at least one example from the prevail that relates to, or demonstrates, that topic. In addition, students must answer the following question: found on your research, does the author present an accurate picture of the biography of African Americans in the South during the 1930s? Why or why not? Students will have the choice of creating a poster, a power point/slideshow, or a multi-media presentation. Students will submit a summary of their research, a bibliography, and a glossiness of any unknown words from their research and from the section of the book addressed in their presentation.
